Ever wondered what collection of yours sells best? It’s now possible to get the answer. Just take a look around in the sales statistics and you’ll see who’s the winner with a blink of an eye!
As you might have noticed there’s a new section “Newsletters” in your merchant interface. So from now on you can send newsletters to your clients to re-attract them to your shop. Often clients buy a membership, enjoy your content but then forget about it. A newsletter is the best possibility to get them back. Our friends from jocobo.com get their best conversation rates using newsletters so just give it a try. Of course every email includes an unsubscribe link since we do not want to spam.
Some things have to be done in advance, especially regarding your domain (setting some extra DNS records) so please contact us to get the instructions on how to prepare your domain.
It’s a feature many merchants asked for and now finally it’s ready: You can now add custom images (posters) to your collection previews.
Just go to “Show collections” and click any “Edit preview images” link. There you’ll find a new button “Drop new images here”, from where you’ll be able to add new images. So from now on you’re no more limited to images you find in your media but can add single images later.

From now on we’ll send a weekly newsletter to all clients. The email will include new collections from the shop(s) he just signed up and some recommendations (up to ten collections). Links are added to ‘buy the collection’ and ‘subscribe to the shop’. Click the thumbnail to the right to get an idea what it looks like.
Of course every client can unsubscribe at any time.
Clicks to your shop will have a special Piwik variable: ‘Shopmaker-Newsletter’, so you’ll find customers of this source in Piwik at Referrers → Campaigns.
A short notice for you: It’s now possible to select up to three categories, so your collections may be found in more categories at clipspool.com, too!
In the past shopmaker.com only offered a traditional registration and login process with a username, email and password specifically selected by the user.
In order to lower the entry hurdle for end customers we just integrated social media into our join and login modules. Customers can now use their well-known usernames / passwords from Facebook, Twitter or Google to enter any shop.

All shops which have already been migrated to the new platform now have the possibility to change the colors of background, buttons and other controls with only a few clicks.
Just go to your shop’s new admin interface, sign in and navigate to “Preferences / Edit Shop“. In the “shop design“ tile you can select and immediately pre-view more than 20 different color themes from a combo box.
